RE:  Disappearance of Our Endangered Habitat, Wildlife and Peace!

I want to voice my concern at the rapid destruction of our endangered coastal sage scrub habitat and rare wildlife.  Poway has one of the most diverse habitats in the continental United States.  Unfortunately, we are allowing it to disappear at an alarming rate, due to urban sprawl.  

The city of Poway continues to allow housing developments in our most biologically rich habitats, wildlife corridors, fractured parcels, vitally needed for wildlife movement.  The city should be purchasing parcels in the Proposed Protection Resource Areas, converting them to open space, to preserve this valuable land for generations to come.  Additionally, developments have been allowed on hilltops and ridgelines, ie. Twin Peaks, in the heart of Poway, and on the north ridgeline in the business park, such as the Amazon building.  These developments ruin the rural feel of “living in the country” and Poway’s resident's peace of mind. 

Stop allowing more housing developments in irreplaceable habitat by denying building approvals in endangered coastal sage scrub habitat, wildlife corridors, and on fractured parcels and ridgelines!
